Universidad de Salamanca & Edinumen Jornadas Español Excelente III at CEA

CEA was selected to host the Universidad de Salamanca and Editorial Edinumen III Jornadas Español Excelente conference. Spanish educators from across Florida and spanning from elementary school to university levels visited CEA for professional development workshops by speakers from the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain.

We are honored to have been chosen to host the conference, thanks to the magnificent work by our Spanish language department. The conference closed with a special performance of Estampas del Quijote by our upper school and high school dancers. Estampas del Quijote, choreographed by Marisol Moreno, is a collection of scenes from Cervantes’ Don Quijote de la Mancha, interpreted through dance. After students study Don Quijote in seventh and eighth grade, Spanish dancers have the opportunity to bring the story to life through dance, embodying the characters and leading to further understanding of the story. We are thrilled to share our students’ work and talent with the community.
