After students in second grand began to study the Solar System in science in conjunction with the reading of Midnight on the Moon from the Magic Treehouse Series, students and families gathered at school to learn to use a telescope and see the stars and planets together! The second graders had a special solar system trivia, and thanks to our amazing parents and Mark and Nancy Lopez (parents of Elise, CEA Class of 2017) who for over 15 years have helped host this event they got to see many stars and planets together! This year, students saw Jupiter (with its moons) for the first time, as well as Mars, the moon, and many other constellations!
