Scholastic Book Fair

Our Scholastic Book Fair has come to a close, including our online book fair, which finished last Thursday.

Every year, Mrs. Martinez outdoes herself in the organization of the book fair, but this year we broke a school record! As a school, we had over 90% student participation and raised over $25,000! This is a tremendous achievement, as these funds will go directly back to our students to impact them directly to expand our library collection, enhance classroom libraries, and support literacy programs and STEAM activities that benefit all students. The Book Fair truly makes a big difference in our classrooms, as well as at home!

We want to thank the many parents, teachers, and administrators who worked together to make this book fair a great success!

  • Mrs. Martinez, Library Media Specialist
  • Mrs. Rajo, Technology Curriculum Coordinator
  • Eileen Press, (CEA Class of 1991 and Madison’s mom, CEA class of 2023)
  • Melissa Gonzalez (Isabel and Brianna’s mom)
  • Susy Millares (Gabriella, Logan, and Ava’s grandmother and former CEA teacher)

Thank you to you, our parents, for so generously funding your children’s e-wallets, which allowed them to purchase books and continue to grow in their love of reading.

We are immensely grateful to everyone whose collaboration, generosity, and enthusiasm made this book fair possible!

As part of our Book Fair celebrations, our teachers participated in a literary-themed door decorating contest! Following the book fair theme of “Monsters Inc,” every classroom in the school decorated their door, hoping to win more books for their class libraries! The winners per grade were:
