Theater
The Theatre program combines Spolin's theatre games with an adaptation from Stanislavsky's method. It includes an important amount of time improvising, creating, and acting the students' stories.
Actors in Training is a children theatre company that debuted during the Summer of 2005 with the One-Act Play: "The Flowers' Garden". During the first season of 2005-2006, the actors worked on their improvisational skills, read scenes from Tom Sawyer, Little Women, Dickens' A Christmas Carol, among others.
Since then, their productions have included a performance of Garcia Lorca's poem: "Vals en las Ramas", their Shakespearean debut with "A Midsummer Night's Dream", an original production titled "My Favorite Brits" integrating film to the actual play and a "ballet" scene from Swan Lake, and their first full Broadway Musical: Disney’s The Aristocats Kids.
